Q&A
Who inspired you to play soccer?
My older brother was my inspiration to play soccer. Whatever he did, I wanted to do. The greatest thing he did for me was let me play. The one rule    was no crying.
What has been your greatest reward?
My greatest reward is being part of the growth of the game and seeing young players being confident and enjoying playing the game of soccer. Soccer gave me so much comfort and confidence that it really was an important tool in my development
as a person.
What challenges did you face in achieving your goals?
My challenge was that I was a shy and homesick kid. I was very quiet, so meeting people was difficult. I also was real homesick when I traveled. Whenever I was away I was always trying to stay busy and be around people so I wouldn’t miss home.

What was your fondest memory from the Olympic Games?

"My fondest memory was standing on that podium the first and second time when we
were Gold Medal Champs. Listening to your national anthem play
will always be special and a dream come true."
